Christmas FAQ

Christmas Ordering – Frequently Asked Questions

1. When should I order my Christmas cheese?

We recommend ordering your Christmas cheese as early as possible to secure your preferred selection. Some artisan cheeses are only available from December, and popular varieties may sell out as Christmas approaches.

2. When is the last date for Christmas delivery?

Our final planned nationwide dispatch date is Monday 21st December 2026, for expected delivery on Tuesday 22nd December. However, we strongly recommend choosing Friday 18th December as your final delivery date to allow for unexpected courier delays.

Delivery dates are estimates and cannot be guaranteed.

3. Can I collect my Christmas order from your shop?

Yes! We offer free Click + Collect from our deli in Ashbourne, Derbyshire. Simply select Click + Collect at checkout and choose your preferred collection date.

4. How much does Christmas delivery cost?

Standard courier delivery starts at £7.99, with Saturday delivery starting at £17.99. These are our base rates, and heavier orders may incur additional charges. Your final delivery cost will be displayed at checkout.

5. How much cheese should I order for a Christmas cheeseboard?

As a general guide, we recommend approximately 75–100g of cheese per person when serving a cheeseboard after a substantial meal, or 150–200g per person if cheese is a main part of your entertaining.

A traditional cheeseboard will typically include four different styles of cheese: a hard cheese, a soft cheese, a blue cheese and a wildcard. The wildcard is your opportunity to introduce something a little different, whether that's a smoked cheese, a flavoured cheese or something milder to balance the selection.

This combination offers a variety of flavours and textures, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy.

6. How should I store my Christmas cheese?

Keep your cheese refrigerated and follow the storage instructions supplied with each product. Many cheeses taste their best when allowed to come towards room temperature before serving, although this varies by cheese.

If you're unsure about storing or serving a particular cheese, please contact us for advice.
